Goulding: I'm over panic attacks

Ellie Goulding has revealed she has overcome the panic attacks that blighted her initial period in the spotlight.

The Figure 8 singer - who performed at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding last year - skyrocketed to success in 2012 but resorted to therapy after she found herself daunted by fame.

Ellie told the Daily Mirror: "Now I'm over it, I can't believe I got myself into that situation of panic. At the time, it was normal for me to walk into a room, sit next to you and think, 'I can't do this'.

"It's weird for me to think about now because I'm in such a good place. At the time, I couldn't even leave my flat.

"Now, if some panic hits me, you have to sort of be friends with your body, it's like your body will work against you.

"I've always been fascinated by the human body, but you can become quite morbid and paranoid if you think too much."

The 25-year-old singer split from her American boyfriend Sonny Moore, aka DJ Skrillex, in the autumn after the strain of living in different continents became too much.

Ellie said: "It was a bit rubbish really. We were simply living too far away. It was sad because we're good mates."
