NewsFebruary, 20 Chris Evans is on Brits stand-byChris Evans has revealed that he's on stand-by in case Brits host James Corden loses his voice. The Gavin And Stacey star was previously reported to have been sent home from rehearsals and given a voice ban by organisers after catching tonsillitis. Now breakfast show DJ Chris has tweeted: "Just been declared official Brits stand by host/understudy in case James's voice doesn't make it to the Lifetime Achievement award. Now - how to nobble him. In a nice way of course." Chris, who has hosted the Brits four times, joked on his Radio 2 show: "I'm going to try to get him to talk a lot so he can't make it to the 'good evening welcome to the Brits' moment...This is it. It's my last chance. If you can do him in, do him in, in a nice showbiz way!" But James, who is hosting the Brits for the fourth time on Wednesday night (February 20), later showed no sign of illness when he was interviewed by Chris. He said that he felt "completely fine", was still on antibiotics, but that he had felt "bad" last weekend. Asked whether he would host for a fifth time, he said: "I feel like four might be a good amount for anyone to do... It's a young man's game."
