NewsFebruary, 26 White: We're so excited about albumSaturdays star Vanessa White has revealed the band are staying true to their pop roots on their next album. The girlband - who are currently hard at work trying to crack the US market - have been laying down tracks for their upcoming record, The Chase. Vanessa said: "It's been a really fun process. We got to work with some amazing producers and writers out there so we're really excited about this one." The Ego singer added of the group's sound: "We've always kind of kept it really similar because at the end of the day we are a pop group and we always say it's so nice to be a pop group... I think it always is a progress of what we have done before. I guess it's a little more grown up, we've grown up and we've been together for five years now." The success of fellow British acts such as One Direction and The Wanted has given the girls a confidence boost in their bid for Stateside success, Vanessa said. "It's lovely for us because The Wanted actually supported us on one of our shows when they were starting out, so it's nice to see they've done so well and to have our mates out there, it's cool." Meanwhile, Vanessa and her bandmates are encouraging the nation to let its lighter side out for Red Nose Day with Maltesers and help raise more than £1m for Comic Relief. "Whenever we can help out with charity we love to get involved. We're just really lucky to be in the position we're in that we're able to help," Vanessa explained.
