Underwood for US country festival

Carrie Underwood has joined the line-up for the first iHeartRadio Country Festival.

The former American Idol winner is on the bill for the event in Austin, Texas alongside stars such as Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Lady Antebellum and Florida Georgia Line.

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment decided to set up the festival for country music fans after seeing the overwhelming response to country music performers during their iHeartRadio Music Festivals.

Other artists scheduled to perform include Hunter Hayes and Jake Owen with more to be announced later.

The event will be held on March 29.
