NewsJanuary, 24 Goulding to sing for DivergentEllie Goulding is set to feature on the soundtrack for the film Divergent. The Anything Could Happen singer has recorded a new song, Beating Heart, for the movie after the director decided her music was the perfect fit. Director Neil Burger explained: " We started working on the film with songs from Ellie Goulding's album Halcyon and soon found that the texture of her music and the tone of her voice matched perfectly with our film. "In many ways Ellie has become the inner voice of our heroine Tris." Ellie is going to be providing vocals for the film's music which has been composed by electronic artist Junkie XL and Hans Zimmer, who has also worked on The Dark Knight and Inception. The soundtrack will include Grammy award-winning Zedd's Find You featuring Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant, and other artists are yet to be announced. Divergent is based on a series of novels by Veronica Roth and follows teenager Tris (Shailene Woodley) as she fights to save her life and her people when an evil leader tries to destroy them to gain control of society. The film is released on April 4 and the soundtrack is available from March 11.
