Taylor Swift to perform at VMAs

Taylor Swift is set to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The US singing star made the announcement on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and it will be the fourth time she has performed on the show.

Neither Taylor nor a news release gave details about what she plans to perform, but new music is likely as the singer prepares to release an album. She has a livestream scheduled for August 18, when details are expected to be announced.

The pop star has an always-memorable relationship with the show, from arriving in a princess carriage to troubles with Kanye West and an on-air hug from Beyonce.

Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Usher, Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande and Maroon 5 also will perform on the August 24 MTV broadcast from Los Angeles.
