Jesy Nelson unfollows Little Mix manager hours after quitting the band for her mental health

Jesy Nelson has unfollowed Little Mix manager Samantha Cox, hours after announcing her decision to leave the band after nine years.

The Shout Out To My Ex singer, 29, shared her decision to step away from the band, which was formed on The X Factor in 2011, for the sake of her mental health in a heartfelt statement.

Shortly after sharing the news, fans soon noticed Jesy no longer follows the band’s artist manager Samantha Cox on Instagram.

Fans noticed the move as one wrote: “I know that maybe Jesy is managing her insta account anymore, but the fact she “unfollowed” sam coxy so fast..”

Another added: “The way the only person Jesy unfollowed is little mix's manager”. [sic]

Little Mix’s manager, who works for Modest! Management, still follows Jesy as well as Little Mix’s remaining members Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards.

OK! online has contacted representatives for Jesy and Little Mix for comment.

Sam is currently the artist manager for Little Mix and The X Factor winners Rak-Su and has previously worked with One Direction, Leona Lewis and JLS.

It comes after Jesy released a heartfelt statement to share her decision to leave Little Mix after nine years.

She wrote: “To all my Mixers, The past nine years in Little Mix has been the most incredible time of my life.

“We have achieved things I never thought possible. From winning our first Brit Award to our sold out shows at the O2.

“Making friends and fans all over the world I can’t thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

“You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never ever forget it.”

Jesy, who's fans were convinced her leaving the band was hinted at recently, continued: “The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health.

“I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.

“There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focussing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to being that process.”

She then revealed: “So after much consideration and with a heavy heart, I’m announcing I’m leaving Little Mix.”
