NewsJanuary, 13 Diddy won’t attend Grammys amid sexual abuse claimsSean “Diddy” Combs' rep has confirmed he won’t attend the Grammys despite denying sexual assault allegations against him. The music mogul won’t attend the prestigious award ceremony on February 4, despite being nominated for his first award in two decades, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Less than a week after being nominated in the Best Progressive R&B album category for his The Love Album: Off the Grid, the rapper was accused of sexual assault by singer and former partner Cassie. Cassie, whose real name is Cassandra Ventura, alleged Diddy used his power to subject her to years of sexual and physical violence, including forcing her to have sex with male sex workers while he filmed her. He denied all the allegations. One day later, on November 18 2023, the pair reached a private settlement. In the following weeks, three more women launched lawsuits against Diddy, alleging rape and sexual assault over dates ranging from 1991 to 2003. The Missing You singer released a statement on his Instagram page denying all the allegations. "Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday," he wrote in December. "Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth." In December, The Recording Academy, who run the Grammys voting procedure, told Radar they "are taking this matter very seriously and are in the process of evaluating it with the time and care that it deserves.”
