Mother of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' son Justin addresses Cassie assault video

Misa Hylton, the mother of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' son Justin, has spoken out about the video of the rapper assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Combs' former partner took to Instagram on Tuesday to say she was "heartbroken" following the release of a video showing the musician physically abusing Ventura.

"I am heartbroken that Cassie must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her," Hylton began in the post, which included photos of Combs' children. "I know exactly how she feels, and through my empathy, it has triggered my own trauma."

The former couple have 30-year-old son Justin together. Combs also has children Quincy, 32, Christian, 26, Chance, 18, twins D'Lila and Jessie, 17, and 17-month-old Love from previous relationships.

"These young people were raised by women that want the best for them - we put God and education first and have always been united in our mutual effort to support their dreams," Hylton said of Combs' kids. "Two of the youngest do not have their mother here and it has been our duty to support them."

The stylist concluded, "Their father needs help and I am praying that he truly does the personal work and receives it."

Hylton's post comes days after CNN released a video of Combs assaulting Ventura at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. Following the release of the clip, the music mogul released an apology video on Instagram.

"It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you gotta do that," he said. "I was f**ked up. I mean, I hit rock bottom. But I make no excuses."

Ventura sued Combs in November 2023, accusing him of abuse and rape. The musician denied the claims and the lawsuit was settled the following day. Other lawsuits with similar allegations soon followed.
