NewsMay, 25 Lady Gaga admits she performed tour shows with COVID.Lady Gaga has admitted she performed on stage despite testing positive for COVID. "I did five shows with COVID. I shared it with everyone on my team," the singer told Variety. "And I said, 'I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable at work, and you don't have to perform and you don't have to work that day.'" The Poker Face singer made the choice after deciding she "didn't want to let all the fans down." "During all my quick changes, I kept going. 'I'm sorry. I'm so sorry,'" she said. "The way that I saw it also was that the fans were all putting themselves in harm's way every day coming to the shows." Fans were quick to disapprove of her decision after she made the admission. "Why on earth would you reveal that? You just giving yourself backlash because you're putting the health and safety of not only yourself, but THOUSANDS of people at risk..." one X user wrote. The shows in question were part of the Chromatica Ball tour, that she performed two years ago. She released her 7th studio album, Chromatica in 2020, but the tour was postponed to 2022 due to COVID. The concert is due to air on HBO on 25 May. "I'm so excited that we can finally share The Chromatica Ball film with the world," she said. "This film chronicles a time of immense creativity...the fashion, the dance, the music."
