NewsMay, 23 Britney Spears blames 'trauma' for nerve damageBritney Spears has opened up about suffering 'nerve damage' so severe it affects her ability to think. In a since-deleted Instagram post, the pop star shared that "there are a lot of people who don't know" the physical effects of her 13-year conservatorship, which was terminated in November 2021. "I'm not here to be a victim, I'm here to express that even though I did a book about my experiences, the trauma is still there and probably will always be," she shared. The Circus singer continued: "All I can do is do the best I can and know it's okay to be upset some days or not be okay and that's something I don't feel like the world has allowed me to do." She went on to explain how difficult it is for her to forgive her parents, Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. "I have to be the bigger person and forgive my own parents... but that's extremely hard! "I will do my best to let it go and not let others down by my anger!!!" Spears first spoke about having nerve damage on the right side of her body back in 2022, which she claimed was a result of time she spent at medical facility that she was placed in against her will. Despite stating there was no cure for her pain, she believes dancing helps alleviate some of the symptoms. "It's weird I don't feel the nerve damage when I dance, maybe that's my inner child's mind letting go and surrendering," she revealed at the time.
