NewsMay, 31 Bebe Rexha suffered burst cyst amid PCOS battle: 'The pain was so bad'Bebe Rexha recently suffered a burst cyst amid her struggle with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Taking to TikTok on Wednesday, the Meant to Be singer opened up about her battle with the common condition, which affects a woman's ovaries. Symptoms can include irregular periods, excess facial or body hair, and ovaries becoming enlarged or containing fluid-filled sacs. "Two weeks ago, I was in urgent care. I was in so much pain," she stated. "My doctor thought it was appendicitis because it was so bad, but it was actually a cyst that had burst. Tylenol didn't work, Advil didn't work. You guys, I was sick to my stomach, the pain was so bad. The only thing that helped me - and I think you should try this if you have cysts - (is) a heating pad." Elsewhere in the clip, Bebe shared that she often has irregular periods but was recently prescribed type 2 diabetes drug Metformin to help with the issue. "February was 28 days, I had my period for 20 days. I had 10 days on my period, a week off, and then another 10 days. Some months, I won't get my period. Super, super irregular," the 34-year-old said, before describing how she gained a lot of weight over a four-year timeframe despite being careful about her diet and exercising regularly. "My doctor once told me that a woman with PCOS can eat a bowl of blueberries and it would be (the) equivalent to a normal person eating a whole pie of pizza," the star noted. The clip quickly racked up over 250,000 views. Accordingly, Bebe promised to share more information about PCOS with her followers. "I'm not a doctor, but I can give you the knowledge that I know because I know PCOS is really hard and it just sucks and I have a lot of really cool facts," she added.
