Nicki Minaj's second Amsterdam concert cancelled after arrest

Nicki Minaj's second concert in Amsterdam has been cancelled following her arrest in the Netherlands last week.

The Starships rapper kicked off the European leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour at the Ziggo Dome in Holland on 23 May and she was due to return for a second show on Sunday 2 June.

However, Dutch promoter Mojo announced on its website that the concert would no longer take place "due to the events of last week", when she was arrested at the airport on 25 May on suspicion of trying to export drugs.

A spokesperson for the Dutch military police told BBC News that the case against Nicki was closed and they would take no action against her if she returned to the Netherlands.

The 41-year-old musician was detained by authorities after they allegedly found marijuana in her luggage. She was fined 350 euros ($380/$300) and released hours later, but not with enough time to make her show in Manchester, England.

Nicki has since spoken out about her "disgusting" treatment in the Netherlands.

"Not being able to get to Manchester, I don't know when was the last time I felt that that low, you know?" she told fans on livestreaming platform Stationhead. "And not only that, but just knowing that that something is being done to you on purpose... But the treatment was just disgusting. And I wouldn't wish that on anyone."

The rapper's concert in Manchester was scrapped at the last minute on Saturday and rescheduled to Monday 3 June. She played another show at the same venue on Thursday night.

Nicki has yet to comment on the Amsterdam show cancellation.
