Rita Ora: 'My new music celebrates my sexuality'

Rita Ora has revealed her new music "celebrates" her sexuality.

The 34-year-old singer released the steamy dance track Heat last month and has now shared the inspiration behind it.

Rita, who is married to filmmaker Taika Waititi, also promised fans her upcoming fourth studio album will feature plenty more sizzling anthems.

"I was really inspired for me and my womanhood to really kind of celebrate my sexuality," Rita told People as she discussed the new single. "My sexiness and get back into my body, you know? And this really just embodied that."

Heat was co-written by Troye Sivan and Rita also revealed the pair have a "lot in common".

"I love his sexuality and the celebration he has with that," she shared. "This energy with Heat was so perfect just to get people ready for the new character."

Rita went on to explain how she no longer feels like she's holding back when it comes to her music.

After starring in Disney film Descendants: The Rise of Red last year, the Anywhere singer has attracted a whole new group of fans - and she can't wait for them to hear her fresh sound.

"I just feel as if I have so many things to sort of remind the public with, especially my new fans," she added. "I kind of love the idea of explaining who I am again."

Rita's new album is reportedly scheduled to be released later this year.
