Man claiming to be Jay-Z's secret son drops lawsuit

A man claiming to be Jay-Z's son has dropped his federal lawsuit against the music mogul.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Rymir Satterthwaite filed a notice of withdrawal with the court.

Over the weekend, he posted a video on social media where he addressed the withdrawal. He said, "It has been a crazy couple of weeks. I have not stopped my fight."

"I did withdraw my case," he explained, going on to claim that there was "a lot going on behind closed doors".

"We got to step back and play chess, not checkers."

Jay-Z has previously shared that Satterthwaite was hit with an injunction in 2022 for filing so many "frivolous" court filings.

The Roc Nation cofounder's legal team had demanded that this latest lawsuit, filed in federal court, be dismissed immediately.

The mogul said he's been dealing with Satterthwaite's claims since 2010.

He claimed Satterthwaite and his caretaker have been harassing him for years, and that claims in the new lawsuit have been "addressed" and "rejected" in multiple other courts "time and time again".

In his filing, Jay-Z, who is married to superstar singer Beyonce, noted that he had been repeatedly dragged to court by Satterthwaite, Satterthwaite's late mother, and Satterthwaite's caretaker "based on the false assertion" that Satterthwaite is his biological son.
