NewsNovember, 3 Janet Jackson to feature in Timberlake docuseries
Janet Jackson is reportedly lined up to appear in a four-part docuseries about Justin Timberlake, according to Variety. The programme, described as a "tell-all" look at the SexyBack singer's life and career, is said to be heading to Apple TV in December. Fisher Stevens is reported to be directing. One source says the project will feature an interview with Jackson about the 2004 Super Bowl Halftime Show incident, when Timberlake exposed her breast, which was covered by a nipple shield, to viewers for roughly half a second. The moment has long been nicknamed Nipplegate or Janetgate. Representatives for Jackson, Timberlake and Apple TV had not responded to the report at the time of writing. A second insider said the 45-year-old will also look back on his relationship with Britney Spears, who he dated from 1999 to 2002. In February 2021, Timberlake shared an Instagram post addressing past controversies involving Jackson and Spears, writing: "I can do better and I will do better." It is not clear which other periods of his life the series will cover. Timberlake made headlines in June 2024 when he was arrested in Sag Harbor, New York, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He later took a plea deal, pleading guilty to the lesser charge of driving while impaired, and was given a fine of $760 (£566) plus 25 hours of community service. When his Forget Tomorrow World Tour wrapped in July 2025, the former *NSYNC member revealed that he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease. Timberlake has been married to actress Jessica Biel since 2012, and the couple have two sons.
