NewsJuly, 14 Vanessa Carlton 'so moved' to perform with Drake at Wireless Festival![]() Vanessa Carlton was "so moved" to perform with Drake at the 2025 Wireless Festival over the weekend. Partway through the Canadian rapper's second gig at Finsbury Park, London on Saturday night, he invited the singer-songwriter to the stage to perform her 2002 megahit, A Thousand Miles. As Vanessa launched into the iconic intro of the song on the piano, Drake encouraged the crowd to sing along to the lyrics. Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the 44-year-old praised the Hotline Bling hitmaker for including her in the concert. "Thank you to the one and only @champagnepapi for inviting me to be a part of his show and for the sweet introduction," she wrote alongside a clip of the performance. "I am so moved and have been a fan since the beginning. And thanks to everyone behind the scenes that pulled this one off for us. So now I can personally recommend Drake's fabulous @wirelessfest experience." Drake has not yet commented on his decision to tap Vanessa as a guest performer. The One Dance star played three shows over the course of the festival. "This is the first time in my life that I've done three different shows on three different days," Drake told the crowd on Friday evening. "You came to a very special night. It's night one. It's a celebration of all things R&B. All things melodies. All classics." Other guest artists included Lauryn Hill, 21 Savage, Giveon, PartyNextDoor, Skepta, Latto, and Sexyy Red. But the event wasn't without controversy, and according to the BBC, Drake was forced to limit his set on Sunday to just 40 minutes due to a strict curfew. The 38-year-old launched his collaborative album, Some Sexy Songs 4 U, with PartyNextDoor, in February.
