NewsDecember, 29 Kygo teases Coldplay collaborationKygo has teased that he plans to create a smash song with Coldplay. The 33-year-old Norwegian music star has collaborated with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in the past - but not the chart-topping band. But that will all change if the Carry You hitmaker gets his way in the New Year as creating a single with the group is top of his 2025 bucket list. Speaking to The Sun, Kygo teased, "Well, I hope so. One of my goals since I started, was to have a song with Coldplay." But he added, "We don't have any songs right now but hopefully it'll happen." The award-winning musician and DJ also explained how his 2019 reworking of the Whitney Houston classic, Higher Love, came to fruition. He said of her estate, "They actually reached out to me. They had this version of Higher Love that they never officially released, and they wanted a new version of it. I got the stems for it and I made my version of it and they loved it." Kygo has performed with Martin in the past - creating the 2022 track The Astronaut which featured the vocals of BTS singer Jin. Other major music acts that Kygo has worked with over the years include Rita Ora, OneRepublic, Tina Turner and Donna Summer.
