Cyndi cheers up air travellers

Cyndi Lauper broke out into an impromptu rendition of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun to entertain fellow travellers stranded at an airport.

The pop star helped cheer stranded crowds at Buenos Aires' Jorge Newbery Airport by grabbing a public-address microphone and singing her 1983 hit song as nearby travellers and airport workers sang along.

A video of the spontaneous performance was recorded and has attracted thousands of views since it was posted to the Internet.

Cyndi is currently on tour. She was travelling from Argentina to Santiago, Chile, when several flights were delayed due to an extended holiday weekend.
