NewsMarch, 21 Headline acts for festivals named![]() Muse, The Strokes and My Chemical Romance are to headline at this summer's Leeds and Reading Festivals. And Jarvis Cocker's reformed band Pulp - who have already announced a number of other major shows - will also be among the bill-toppers. Muse's performances at the twin-site festival will be their only European shows of the year, while the My Chemical Romance gigs will be their only English festival dates. Other acts to feature on the bill will be Liam Gallagher's band Beady Eye, who played their debut shows earlier this month. Elbow will also be among the major names as will The Offspring, Jane's Addiction, and The Streets. The events take place simultaneously at Little John's Farm in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds from August 26 to 28, with the major acts playing at both sites. The Strokes recently returned to the fore with a new album Angles which was released today. The band's debut, 2001's Is This It, was named album of the decade by NME. Muse, who were among the headliners for 2010's Glastonbury Festival, were last at Reading five years ago. Other artists lined up for the shows include Interpol, Seasick Steve, Madness and The National. Tickets went on sale tonight, costing £192.50 plus booking fees for the whole weekend.
