Elba to take stage at Big Chill

Idris Elba is set to swap the small screen for the festival stage to perform at The Big Chill this weekend.

The star of Luther and The Wire will join Charlie's Angels actress Lucy Liu and US rapper Jay Electronica to take part in the audio/visual project The Bullitts on the Deer Park Stage on Saturday.

The Bullitts is described by organisers as "a 360 degree project" centred around a mysterious plot about fictional character Amelia Sparks, masterminded by producer Jeymes Samuel.

The Big Chill takes place from August 4 to 7 at Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Herefordshire. Headliners include Kanye West and The Chemical Brothers.
