Albarn band reforms for green show

Damon Albarn is to reform his band The Good, The Bad & The Queen for a one-off show to mark the 40th birthday of Greenpeace.

The quartet - which features The Clash's Paul Simonon, The Verve's Simon Tong and drummer Tony Allen - will play together for the first time since 2008.

The gig takes place at London's Coronet venue on November 10 to mark the environmental group's 40 years as well as the arrival of Rainbow Warrior III in the city.

Simonon - who also teamed up with Albarn to play in a line-up of Gorillaz - said: "We've always supported Greenpeace and their amazing work. It should be a great night, we're really looking forward to it."

The Good The Bad And The Queen released one album in early 2007 followed by a string of dates, but gave a farewell performance the following year.
