Black Eyed Peas exit Jackson show

Black Eyed Peas have pulled out of a major tribute concert to Michael Jackson with just days to go.

The group - whose hits include I Gotta Feeling - was one of the biggest names on the bill for the event in Cardiff on Saturday.

But less than a week after agreeing to perform, they are no longer taking part due to "unavoidable circumstances".

The Michael Forever Tribute Concert is to take place at the Millennium Stadium with Christina Aguilera, Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson due to perform.

Also in the line up are Leona Lewis, JLS and Diversity, with Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx co-hosting with Fearne Cotton.

Chris Hunt, CEO of Global Live Events which is staging the show, said: "It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth shattering artists.

"The event is really getting into gear and is going to be a fantastic evening for all".

Meanwhile, producers of a documentary about the star, Michael Jackson: The Life Of An Icon, announced that the film will be given its world premiere in London next month.

The film, backed by Jackson's friend David Gest, will be screened at the Empire Leicester Square cinema on November 2 - two days after it comes out on DVD.

The late singer's mother Katherine, brother Tito and sister Rebbie will attend.
