Jessie J sweeps board at Mobos

Jessie J has swept the board at the Mobo Awards, winning four of the five gongs she was nominated for.

The Price Tag singer won best UK act, best newcomer, best song for Do It Like A Dude and best album for Who You Are.

But she missed out on the best video award, which instead went to Tinchy Stryder and Dappy for Spaceship.

Adele won the best R&B/soul act gong, Rihanna took the best international star title, while Tinie Tempah bagged the best hip hop accolade at the star-studded event in Glasgow.

Wretch 32, Adele and Tinie Tempah were each shortlisted for four awards.

Kanya King, founder of Mobo, said: "It's been a great event that has welcomed some exciting new award winners to the Mobo roll of honour including the global superstar Adele, the UK's hot talent Tinchy Stryder and of course the fantastic Jessie J walking away with four awards."

American R&B group Boyz II Men were awarded a prize for an outstanding contribution to music.

It is just the second time the Mobo Awards have been staged in Scotland, and the third year in a row the event has been staged outside London.

This year's awards were hosted by Jason Derulo and Alesha Dixon.
