Barlow to play solo charity shows
X Factor judge star Gary Barlow is to perform a pair of solo headlining shows - his first for more than a decade.
The Take That star will play two fundraising shows at the Royal Albert Hall in December.
The dates will be the first for 11 years, when he launched a solo career in the years when Take That had called it a day, before the group's rebirth in 2005.
The shows on December 5 and 6 will aid the Prince's Trust and the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Barlow - who landed the classic songwriter award at the Q Awards - had a record-breaking run of dates with Take That over the summer. He recently indicated that Robbie Williams is no longer in the group's line-up, although the door is open for a return.
During the summer Barlow stepped in as a last-minute replacement on the bill of a major Radio 2 outdoor show in Hyde Park.
He said of the shows: "I hope the money raised through these concerts will make a real difference to young lives.
"It's really important to me that disadvantaged young people get the support they need, especially at the moment."
Tickets for the concerts which will feature sisters The Pierces as guests, go on sale on Friday.
