Little Mix 'not girl group clones'

X Factor winners Little Mix have revealed they plan to write their own songs and insisted they won't be girl group "clones".

The foursome, who were propelled to stardom last night when they won the ITV1 talent show, thanked their fans and said they had "made our dreams come true".

Perrie Edwards, 18, said: "We're just going to work so, so hard. We've got the track coming up, it's going to be incredible, it's going to be a great experience and after that it will be the album and we'll start writing and we can't wait to get into the studio and start writing our own stuff."

The girlband, whose other members are Jade Thirlwall, 18, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 19, and Jesy Nelson, 20, said they were planning a brief holiday at Christmas after the gruelling schedule of the show, before getting back to work.

Perrie said she wasn't worried about being seen as a role model for girls around the country.

She said: "It's incredible, it's a good thing to have said about you isn't it? It feels so great that girls can look up to you. We've each got our own individuality and girls can look up to you and say 'I want to be like that one or I'm like her'.

"We're not a girl group that's just clones of each other. We're all so different."

Meanwhile, Jade tipped fellow contestant Misha B to be a star, saying she could be a hit in the United States.

"I think America like confidence more than the UK, she's so talented, she's so creative," she said.

The group, mentored by Tulisa Contostavlos, scooped the crown in front of a 10,000-strong audience at Wembley Arena in north London on Sunday night, with millions more watching the ITV show live on television.
