Labrinth: Brits snub was let-down

Labrinth has confessed he was a bit miffed not to receive a Brit award nomination.

The Earthquake star, whose debut record Electronic Earth is out on March 19, said he's delighted for shortlisted friends Ed Sheeran and Jessie J - but admitted he would've loved a nod too.

When asked if he was disappointed, the singer-songwriter and producer said: "Maybe a little, just a little. I think things happen, I'm going to put out this album and see what happens and hopefully next year they will kind of recognise that I'm doing something great."

He added: "Some of my mates are up for awards - Emeli Sande has won one (the Critics' Choice award), Ed Sheeran, Jessie J - it would be nice to see those guys win."

Labrinth - who is signed to Simon Cowell's Syco label, also said he was feeling the pressure ahead of the release of Electronic Earth.

"I'm always under pressure and nervous, but I'm excited as well. I spent a lot of time and a lot of blood, sweat and tears making that album," he said.

"It's nice for people to see another side of me and just more of me really."
