Adele: I'll never leave the UK

Adele has no plans to move to the US, she has revealed.

The Rolling In The Deep songstress, who scooped two trophies at the Brit Awards, has enjoyed massive chart success both in the States and here, but insisted she would always stay close to her London roots.

"I'm very British, I don't think you could get more British than me," she said.

"I've always been proud to be British, but being away and my record doing so well overseas really brings that home to me, you know. I'm very much a London girl, always will be, never going to leave, always going to be in the UK," added the 23-year-old.

Adele, who is dating entrepreneur Simon Konecki, revealed she has been surprised by how well her second album 21 - which has sold over 20 million copies - did, adding: "It just goes over my head really. It's phenomenal the success of this album - where it has gone and where it has taken me is just amazing.

"It seems to have done it all on its own as well. I haven't done that much, and then I was halted by my voice problems, but the record just carried on walking without me."
