Jessie J: Album's a family affair

Jessie J is keeping the lid tightly shut on the details of her new album, revealing the only people to have heard it so far are her mum and dad.

The 23-year old chart topper, who grew up in north London and has had hits with Do It Like A Dude and Price Tag, told the Daily Star that her new record will be more melody-driven than her beat-heavy first record, and will feature more stripped-down tunes.

"One song in particular I've written is very close to my heart. It's just me and the piano. It's an exciting process, but I haven't played any of the songs to anyone," she said.

"I'm getting so paranoid the songs will get leaked or my computer hacked that no one gets to hear them until they're ready, only mum and dad."

The singer also revealed she's keen to work with acoustic star Ed Sheeran.

"I am in awe of him," she said. "He can hold an audience with a guitar and a loop machine. He's pure and so interesting."
