Walsh 'says Cole friendship's over'

Louis Walsh has reportedly hit back at Cheryl Cole after she accused him of taking cheques despite "zero involvement" during the beginning of her career.

The Daily Mirror said that the Irish X Factor judge responded by telling a friend: "It says a lot about her."

Louis was quoted as saying: "As far as I'm concerned, our friendship is over... I was always the first to defend her on The X Factor and always watched her back. I thought we were friends. I won't stand for anyone criticising me professionally."

Girls Aloud star Cheryl, 28, told Marie Claire magazine that Louis wasn't involved in Girls Aloud's rise to fame, despite being their manager.

"We didn't talk to him or anything like that. He just took a cheque. Literally, we didn't have management," she said.

Cheryl added that after the band won ITV1 show Popstars: The Rivals: "Louis Walsh had come out publicly and said, 'They're all fat. They all need to lose weight'. And the record label sent us all to have training... but we were just thinking they were doing us a favour at the time. We were so deluded."
