Voice hopefuls 'will find success'

The Voice coach Will.i.am believes winning the show is not crucial for his contestants - because they will each find music success anyway.

The Black Eyed Peas star insisted the artists he has picked will make a name for themselves regardless of whether they triumph and land the recording deal on offer.

As an example, he pointed to Oscar-winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson, who failed to win American Idol when she took part in 2004.

Will said: "It all depends what it is you're trying to accomplish. Are you trying to win some contest, or are you trying to learn?

"If we win, that'd be great - but we gonna win anyway."

The music producer - whose acts Jaz Ellington and Joelle Moses are the bookmakers' first and second favourites to win the show - said he had "a couple of winners" on his team.

He added: "I think I have singers on my team that are going to be very successful in entertainment, whether or not they win The Voice."

Will also stressed the importance of rival shows such as The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent.

He said: "I think the rivalry is important.

"The rivalry between the shows - they need each other, because the music industry needs the shows."
