Sarah Harding plans solo album

Sarah Harding is working on a solo album, which has reportedly been inspired by her recent heartbreak.

The 30-year-old Girls Aloud star split from fiance DJ Tom Crane last year and then entered rehab for alcohol problems, where she met Theo de Vries and embarked on a short but tempestuous romance.

Sarah told BroadcastExchange.tv she is working on a new album to be released in 2013 after the Girls Aloud reunion.

She said: "There's quite a lot going on this year, but it's in the pipeline right now so I can't really say much about that.

"But next year I am preparing for solo material so watch this space!"

Sarah has been focusing on her acting since the girlband took a break to pursue solo projects. She has recorded some songs for movie soundtracks, and featured as a guest vocalist on the Roger Sanchez & Far East Movement ft Kanobby's track 2Gether, but has not officialy released any of her own solo music.

Speaking as she posed for a solo photoshoot, Sarah admitted working with the rest of Girls Aloud was a lot more fun.

She said: "There's a big difference to doing it on your own, it's a lot quicker.

"But when we're doing photoshoots as a group it's more fun, because there's more banter and the music's playing and we can have a little boogie. It is like having a girls' night out, but it's in the day."
