Williams working on his new album

Robbie Williams has hinted that he is close to finishing his next album and might be planning to tour.

The Let Me Entertain You singer - who is expecting a baby girl with wife Ayda Field next month - addressed fans on his blog, saying he had been quiet for a while because there was nothing to report.

The 38-year-old went on: "Just been in the gym trying to offset the onset of middle age.

"Fetching things for Ayda... and trying to figure out which tracks stay on the album and which tracks should be shelved."

Robbie, who released his last studio album Reality Killed The Video Star in 2009, also suggested he might be planning to hit the road again as he asked his fans which of two of his tracks they would prefer to hear "if and when I tour".
