Whitney tribute at Grammy Museum

Whitney Houston's personal Bible is among items to go on display at an exhibition honouring the singer's memory at the Grammy Museum.

Bob Santelli, executive director of the museum in Los Angeles has worked with the late star's family to create Whitney! Celebrating the Legacy of Whitney Houston, a collection which will pay tribute to Whitney's life and legacy.

"I'm honoured that the family of Whitney Houston has chosen to work with us," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Pat Houston, Whitney's manager, said: "This exhibit is a token of appreciation from our family for Whitney's fans to enjoy and embrace. We hope they are as elated as we are to have shared in such a remarkable life."

The collection will include rare photographs and footage as well as stage costumes and personal belongings.

Whitney died in February at the age of 48, on the eve of the Grammy Awards, where she had been due to perform.

The exhibition will open on August 15, 2012 and will be on display until February 2013.

It has been timed to coincide with her birthday, which is August 9 and the opening of her final movie, Sparkle, on August 17.
