Noel Gallagher ridicules brother

Noel Gallagher has mocked brother Liam's appearance at the London 2012 Closing Ceremony, according to reports.

Estranged sibling Liam played Wonderwall, the Oasis song penned by Noel, with his new band Beady Eye at the bash.

But speaking on-stage at a War Child gig in London, Noel, 45, called Beady Eye "Stratford's finest Oasis tribute band".

As he launched into his own rendition of the song, he joked: "I know this is gonna be difficult for you, but if you can't sing along to this next song, it's because it sounds different when I sing it... I'd like to dedicate this to Stratford's finest Oasis tribute band," the Daily Mail Online reported.

Launching into Supersonic - Oasis's debut single - he praised double Team GB gold medal runner Mo Farah.

"I'm gonna dedicate this song to the great Mo Farah," he said at the gig in Dingwalls, in Camden.

Noel and Liam stopped speaking in 2009, when the band broke up, following years of arguments.
