Romance on new Rizzle Kicks album?

Rizzle Kicks have revealed they're going for a more mature sound on their next album.

The pair - Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule - have enjoyed chart success with debut record Stereo Typical, and are currently working on a follow-up.

"We're quite far into our second album. It's going really well. We've done about 20 odd demos in the process. Our first album did so well, better than we ever thought it could have done," said Harley.

"We've kind of matured, it's a mature sound and it's a bit slower. I don't know yet, it's not too dissimilar to the first album but the subject matter's a bit different. We kind of talk about girls a bit more."

Jordan added: "None of the songs we used on the first album really covered that subject matter but it's been a little more prominent on this one."

Rizzle Kicks will be busy on the summer festival circuit, with gigs including V Festival and Bestival.

Harley said: "When we were teenagers, festivals were like our thing. We used to go to loads. Now being on the other side of them is really surreal, we're going to just as many but performing.

"We've just got back from doing a couple of festivals in Europe, and the European crowds are absolutely amazing. It was great to have a clean slate - when you're in Europe, you feel like you're starting again, there's a lot of people who don't know who you are."
