Keys 'poured herself' into album

Alicia Keys has revealed she "poured herself" into her new album as she showcased tracks at the iTunes Festival.

The Grammy-winning singer said she was excited to unveil material from her new record Girl on Fire as she played to a packed Roundhouse in Camden.

"We are so excited to be here with you.

"This time in my life is a brand new day, a brand new time and I'm so blessed to share."

She added: "I'm very excited because I have a brand new album coming out and I've been pouring myself into the music so I'm excited to share it. It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from, you must never let anything stop you."

The American star, who has been married to Swizz Beatz for more than two years, also made jokes about the miserable British weather she had endured, saying: "Every time I come to London it's raining, I think we are going to have to bring some sunshine."

Keys moved between two pianos as she treated fans to hits including No One, Empire State of Mind (Part II) and A Woman's Worth, as well as tracks from her fifth studio album.

Her new record is out in November.
