NewsDecember, 30 Arthur back at top of singles chartX Factor winner James Arthur is back at the top of the UK singles chart while singer of the moment Emeli Sande ends the year on a high at number one in the album chart. The Scottish star's Our Version Of Events is the biggest-selling album of the year with sales of more than 1.32 million. Sande's debut offering is thought to have had a boost after she appeared on the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year programme. She became the voice of London 2012 after she sang in the Olympics opening and closing ceremonies. Arthur's single Impossible went straight to the top of the charts on its release earlier this month but lost out on being Christmas number one last week to the Hillsborough disaster tribute single. The Justice Collective's version of the Hollies' 1969 hit He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother took the festive top spot but went down to fifth place this week. Scream & Shout by Will.I.Am featuring Britney Spears was at number two, while one of the surprise hits of the year, South Korean pop sensation PSY's Gangnam Style, took third place and Olly Murs' Trouble was at number four. Murs' latest album, former number one Right Place Right Time, was in second place in the album chart this week, while Rihanna's Unapologetic was at number three and Michael Buble's Christmas album was in fourth place. At number five was Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox, which became the fastest-selling solo album of 2012 with 136,000 sales in its first week earlier this month, according to the Official Chart Company.
