New Destiny's Child track online

Destiny's Child have debuted their comeback song Nuclear online to a lukewarm reception.

Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have reunited for the first time since 2005 on Nuclear, which was produced by Neptunes frontman Pharrell Williams. The R&B track has a retro 90s feel.

While fans expressed delight at last week's news that the girlband were reuniting, the majority reaction to the new song on Twitter was from fans who felt underwhelmed and disappointed.

One fan wrote: "A whole new wave of disappointment has washed over me yet again. #DestinysChild #Nuclear :'(" while another said: "#DestinysChild's "new" song has done some good... I've had to listen to their back catalogue to get the taste outta my mouth!"

The girls will perform Nuclear for the first time together at the prestigious American Football Super Bowl half-time show in February.

Beyonce told GQ magazine she had been aiming for an old school feel with her new music.

She said: "I've been working with Pharrell and Timbaland and Justin Timberlake and Dream. We all started in the '90s, when R&B was the most important genre, and we all kind of want that back: the feeling that music gave us."
