One Direction to take £50 million?

One Direction are set to pocket a staggering £50 million in the next six months, according to reports.

The Sun says that the boyband will add to their riches with the release of a third album, tipped to sell a million copies in the US alone.

A source was quoted as saying: "They'll each get £10 million. Striking while the iron is hot is key."

The newspaper says that drinks giant Pepsi are also ready to extend their deal with the band, who found fame on The X Factor in 2010 and have released two albums, their debut Up All Night, followed by Take Me Home.

One Direction made history in the US by being the first British group to go to number one in America with their debut album.
