NewsJune, 5 Healy: The Saturdays aren't overUna Healy has denied speculation that babies could spell the end of the band. Bandmate Rochelle Humes recently became a mum to a girl while Frankie Sandford has also announced that she is pregnant. Irish singer Una, who has a one-year-old daughter Aoife, said she didn't see why motherhood meant the girl band had to hang up their microphones. "No-one says anything when men in bands become fathers or get married. With men it doesn't seem to matter," she said at the Glamour Women Of The Year awards. "It's a new century and that kind of thinking is so last century. Just because some of us are married or engaged doesn't mean we're going to stop singing." Una said she wasn't thinking of adding to her brood just yet. But she admitted she had been giving bandmates Frankie and Rochelle some tips. She added: "They don't really need them because they've been through it with me. We're a family." The Saturdays are playing at the Virgin Media V Festival, and Una said she was glad the festival circuit had embraced girl bands, saying: "Pop is so important." The group were on stage to collect a gong for Best Band as Mollie King celebrated her 26th birthday - leading her bandmates and the night's guests to sing happy birthday to the singer.
