Miley: I work hard on my music

Miley Cyrus has insisted she works extremely hard on her music, despite being a "party animal".

The former Hannah Montana star, who is engaged to Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth, said that although she likes to enjoy herself, she is dedicated to her career.

She said in a video for MTV News: "People more think of me as a party animal. Which I am a self-proclaimed party animal, but I'm also the hardest working person you'll ever know."

The 20-year-old Can't Be Tamed singer also revealed that she makes music for herself, rather than being driven by what other people think of her.

"The biggest thing people say to me is, 'I love that you don't care what people think', because I don't, but in the best way possible.

"I could take all the constructive criticism in the world, but I don't really care... Of course I want people to love my music, but at the end of the day I make music for me. I make music because I love it and like I say, I put good energy into it so it will be all good."
