Calvin Harris develops TV drama

DJ Calvin Harris is making a foray into the world of US television comedy.

The Scottish DJ is helping Irvine Welsh develop a new drama set in the world of electronic music, Deadline reports.

Trainspotting author Irvine penned Higher, a half-hour series for HBO being executive produced by Will Smith and Jay-Z.

Alongside Jay-Z, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Calvin will also serve as executive producer.

Will and Jay-Z are already collaborating on another project, producing a film remake of the musical Annie.
