Kanye in homeage to 'homie' Drake

Kanye West opened his second Wireless London leg by covering three songs from his "homie" Drake.

The Canadian rapper was forced to cancel his headline slot in Finsbury Park and Birmingham due to sickness.

"My homeboy Drake can't be here but we still gotta rep(resent) for him tonight," West said before playing snippets of Drake's hits including Headlines, We Made It and All Me.

After receiving a backlash from festival-goers for his opening night on Friday, the 37-year-old US rapper kept the 40,000 strong crowd happy with fan favourites including Runaway, Stronger and a number of hits from his 2013 album Yeezus.

But it was no surprise the Gold Digger star was later greeted with a mixture of boos and cheers after he delivered another infamous rant.

While on the Main Stage West admitted he is a "shy" but "arrogant" person and said: "Sometimes it's hard because I'm so shy but I'm a mixture of shy, lazy and a bit arrogant.

"No one really speaks from their heart to the internet to the world, it's kind of brave for a shy person to inspire people to be more expressive."

The musician, who is married to reality TV star Kim Kardashian, also admitted the intrusion of the paparazzi on his life and other celebrities including Britney Spears has left him worried for his daughter North West's future.

Talking about his fears for the one-year-old, he said: "Sometimes you need a day off. I want to bring my family to the movie without 30 motherf*****s following me.

"I want my daughter to have that opportunity to decide whether she wants to be famous or not. I think to myself what the f**k I'm I going to do, how can I change it and how can I give my daughter her childhood?"

The rapper, who was sentenced to two years probation stemming from a fight between himself and paparazzi photographer Daniel Ramos in 2013, blamed the press for making out like he was "crazy".

"People try to take me down in the press and try make it out like I'm crazy. The media paint me out like I've got a bad bone in my body," he said about the incident.

He added: "One week I told a paparazzi, 'Stop talking to me - I might be thinking of something like a new stage show, a new design. You want to shove a camera in my face, you just f****d up my whole trail of thought."

Hackney four-piece Rudimental, rapper Azealia Banks and singer Labrinth were among the acts who played on the main stage on the second day of the three-day festival.

Bruno Mars, Robin Thicke, Salt-N-Pepper, Ellie Goulding and Naughty Boy will perform on the final day of the London leg, while Kanye West will close the Birmingham leg on the same day.
