NewsJuly, 7 McBusted light up Hyde Park stageMcBusted went Back To The Future as they closed the fourth night of British Summer Time festival in London's Hyde Park with a two-hour set ablaze with pyrotechnics and chart-topping hits. After a video looking back at their life as McFly and Busted played out to show the two coming together as a super-group, they entered the stage, suspended in the Back To The Future car before rocking out to Air Hostess. "I'm super nervous already! This is the best gig ever, look at you beautiful people..." said McFly's guitarist Dougie Poynter. Although the heavens opened during the show, Matt Willis - who sported a bright blue Mohican - said it was "the best night of his life" as he was supported by his TV presenter wife Emma. The cheeky chappies were full of jokes throughout the show as Dougie attempted the worm before bashing out the national anthem, while his 28-year-old bandmate Tom Fletcher gave his rendition of Take That's hit Greatest Day and Danny Jones fired water balloons and t-shirts out to the crowd. The band also replayed part of Tom's famous wedding speech, which acted as the perfect introduction to their song, Crashed The Wedding. The inter-galactic themed set saw the band perform Room On The Third Floor on a spaceship-inspired platform in the middle of the crowd, to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Earlier, Busted frontman James Bourne took to the stage with the Backstreet Boys to sing I Want It That Way. Previous acts who performed on July 6 included Diversity, The Vamps and Scouting For Girls. McBusted's performance at the festival, formally known as Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time at Hyde Park, follows their first UK tour as a super-band, which ran across April to June 2014.
