Smith for Chris Brown collaboration

Sam Smith has revealed he would like to collaborate with Chris Brown.

Chris recently posted a version of Sam's single Stay With Me on Instagram and the 22-year-old British singer-songwriter told radio show In:Demand backstage at the V Festival how flattered he had been by the video.

Sam said: "It was amazing, I love it. It's really weird because I'm a massive fan of his music. I love Chris Brown's music so much yeah. I'd love to meet him so possibly who knows it would be cool to collaborate."

The Money On My Mind singer admitted he had been overwhelmed by how successful his music has been across the pond.

Sam said: "I can't put America into words. It's something that I thought would come later on. Even when I talk about it now I just can't quite believe what's going on. I'm overwhelmed for my first record to do that."

And the young musician also admitted being on tour all the time made it difficult to find love.

But Sam insisted he wouldn't be turning to any dating apps for help.

He said: "No offence to people who go on Tinder but I just feel like it's ruining romance I really do. We're losing the art of conversation and being able to go and speak to people and you're swiping people.

"From my experience the most beautiful people in my life that I've been on dates with are the dumbest so why would I swipe people who are unattractive when I could fall in love with them. Stop Tinder and Grinder."

Sam added: "I've been on a couple of dates. I'm not in the same country for long enough to go on dates but the one's I have had have been good. I'm good at dates. I used to get really nervous but now I'm better. There is one particular guy that I've been on a few dates with. I like him but who knows!"
