NewsMay, 24 Kygo turns up eight hours before live shows to prepareKygo arrives at his concerts up to eight hours before the show to make sure everything runs "smoothly". The 'Firestone' hitmaker has started making his own music rather than just remixing other people's work and doesn't want to make a single mistake, because he fears everyone in the crowd will notice. Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "Since I've had my original music, I've been doing my own live shows. Everything from the stage to the setup to the artists who perform with me has changed hugely. "I'm usually turning up around six to eight hours before my shows begin to make sure all is running smoothly and then I'm performing live throughout on my keyboards so I really need to be the ball. If I miss a key, people will notice." The 24-year-old DJ-and-songwriter - whose real name is Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll - has just released his debut solo LP on Sony Records, 'Cloud Nine' and he wanted his first offering to show just how varied his sound is from rock to dance. Talking about his new LP, he said: "It is an album to show people that I can produce outside of the sound that people have come to know me for. I've tried to expand my sound further than ever before and while there are some tropical influences, the collaborations and the music don't stick to one genre. "There are influences from country, rock, dance and more. There's even a ballad on there." Kygo's debut album 'Cloud Nine' is out now. He headlines Wireless Festival on July 10. Meanwhile, he has also teased fans that he might release some new music before the year is out. He said: "I never stop making music so there might be a few surprises thrown in before the year is out."
