NewsMay, 9 Taylor Swift concert special to air on ABC after 'Lover Fest' tour canceled due to coronavirusTaylor Swift didn't forget that you existed. Her Lover Fest tour may be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn't mean you won't get to see her in concert soon: ABC announced a new concert special: "Taylor Swift City of Lover Concert," which airs Sunday, May 17 at 10 p.m. ET after the "American Idol" season finale. The special was filmed last September at L'Olympia Theater in Paris and features the Grammy-winning musician singing songs from her latest album, "Lover," to an "intimatecrowd of fans from 37 countries," according to a news release. The event also clues fans in on behind-the-scenes moments. It will be her only concert performance of the year, given the cancellation of Lover Fest (unless you count her "Soon You'll Get Better" rendition from the Global Citizen virtualevent last month). Can't watch live? Catch the special the next day on demand, on Hulu and Disney+. The concert comes as Swift's feud with former home Big Machine Label Group and music executive Scooter Braun continues, and after the release of her revealing documentary "Miss Americana" on Netflix. USA TODAY's Maeve McDermott called "Lover," released in August, "a sprawling 18-track effort that’s less focused and more openhearted than anything she’s released since 'Red,' the album’s closest predecessor in its noncommittal approach to genre and its songwriting focus."
