NewsApril, 16 Listen to the wild reaction of Newcastle crowd as Little Mix arrive on stage at Utilita ArenaLittle Mix were greeted with an emphatic welcome at the Utilita Arena on Friday night as they arrived on stage to the roar of the Newcastle crowd. On what was always going to be an emotional night for Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards as they performed on home turf for the first time in well over two years, they and bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock could not have asked for a better reception from their Geordie fans as they burst onto stage to launch into Brit winning smash Shout Out To My Ex. The atmosphere in the arena was already electric thanks to a blast of Beyonce anthem Run The World (Girls) moments before the lights went down and, thanks to a video montage of Little Mix hits, the captive audience were then at fever pitch ready for Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne to make their entrance. Loud cheers and screams filled the air as the group kicked off a setlist that delivered tune after tune after tune, much to the delight of the crowd who barely sat down the whole time, as the arena became a sea of light up bunny ears and lit up phones. Early highlights included Break Up Song, Heartbreak Anthem and Move, while heart strings were most definitely pulled on by both Secret Love Song and Between Us. Debut number 1 Wings sounded as fresh as it did when it topped the charts in 2012, while the revamped versions of Woman Like Me and Salute, featuring En Vogue's Free Your Mind and Lil Nas X's Industry respectively were touches of genius. Take a bow Little Mix...that was superb and Newcastle clearly still has a LOT of love for you!
