Taylor Swift gets stranded on malfunctioning platform during Dublin concert

Taylor Swift had to be rescued by one of her dancers after a raised platform malfunctioned during a show in Dublin over the weekend.

For the performance of her song The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, the Shake It Off singer and one of her dancers, Jan Ravnik, stand on two separate platforms which rise up out of the stage.

However, during one of her Dublin shows, Taylor's elevated platform failed to lower when Jan's did, leaving her stranded.

Ever the professional, the 34-year-old singer kept singing her melancholic ballad as Jan came over to her platform and helped her get down.

The pop superstar seemed to find the funny side of the technical glitch, smiling and appearing to stifle a laugh while singing.

Taylor performed three nights at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland over the weekend, drawing in celebrity guests such as Julia Roberts and Stevie Nicks.

In honour of the Fleetwood Mac singer, Taylor performed the live debut of her song Clara Bow, in which she name-drops Stevie, on Sunday.

"I've never played this song live at all," she told the audience. "The reason I want to play this tonight is because a friend of mine is here who is watching the show is one of the reasons why I or any other female artists get to do what I get to do.

"She's paved the way for us... she's a hero of mine and also someone I could tell any secret to; she'd never tell anybody. She's really helped me through so much over the years. I'm talking about Stevie Nicks."

The Eras Tour continues in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on Thursday.
